Qualifications
You will work in our Jakarta office as part of our Professional Development (PD) team.
You will be a part of McKinsey's Southeast Asia complex (ASO) which is spread over 7 countries – Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia and Myanmar. This is an exciting and a challenging role primarily focused on coordinating and delivering evaluations processes end-to-end (e.g, semi-annual reviews for 3-4 cohorts, interim reviews, Associate Partner reviews and follow up process, ad-hoc check-ins etc.) for the 300+ non-Partner consultants in the ASO Complex.
You will will report to the director of PD and work closely with the ASO People Committee, respective cohort chairs, and the PD Managers. The role is supported by Manila Shared Services.
What You'll Do
You will manage the evaluation process for generalist consultants, specialists, experts and associate partners.
Your key responsibility will be to prepare all review meetings from start to finish, acting as the overall owner of the process. You will liaise with other PD communities firm-wide as well as key ASO office support staff (e.g. Executive Assistants, HR and Finance). You will work on improvements to our review processes, responding to feedback from key stakeholders.
In addition to taking part in all review meetings and offering professional development advice, you will manage post-evaluation activities, including celebrations, system updates, compensation, post-review analysis and training programs. You will oversee and manage professional development systems including our performance reviews database used to collect review feedback.
You will also oversee various professional development projects such as analyzing and preparing results of surveys, managing the manpower planning and reporting and looking after people budgets.
- Bachelor's degree; Master’s degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in a professional environment; ideally in a people-related role in professional services, human resources or administration (e.g. Talent manager, HR specialist or manager etc.)
- Organized and able to manage multiple tasks and processes with a very high attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure, manage expectations effectively
- Self-managing with good judgment
- Aptitude for strategic thinking and strong analytical capability
- Comfortable with and resilient to ambiguity
- Comfort with a virtual team structure and flexibility to accommodate multiple time zones
- Strong command of English (both verbal and written)
- Sound judgment and strong integrity in dealing with people; discretion to resolve sensitive personnel issues
